![]() Who Should AttendĪnyone using parametric CAD software to design complex, organic surface models will get a kick out of this webinar. Paul is a regular speaker at Autodesk University and is the author of Mastering Inventor Surfacing and Mastering Autodesk Inventor T-Splines. In his spare time, Paul writes the CAD Setter Out Blog and is a contributor to AUGIworld and Develop3D magazines. Paul Munford is the CAD manager at Halstock Cabinet makers in the UK. The webinar is free and will last about one hour, including the Q & A session. So what's the big deal? In this webinar we will find out what Freeform is and why we think you should be taking it seriously. The T-splines technology is now available to us inside. In 2011 Autodesk bought the company behind T-Splines and began weaving the technology into their flagship web based 3D CAD program 'Fusion360'. T-Splines was originally developed as a plug-in for Rhino back in 2007. Is that about to change? With Inventor 2015, Autodesk has brought us a new surfacing technology called 'Freeform'.Freeform modeling in is based on a subdivision modeling technology called 'T- Splines', which turns traditional surface modeling expectations on their head. ![]() You know how much fun it is to create complex, organic shapes in your parametric CAD package, right? Surfacing is the most challenging discipline in 3D CAD modeling.
